PT PLN BBN is very interested in maintaining Occupational Safety and Health and the Environment in the workplace, namely by preventing accidents and environmental impacts that can result in casualties and/or losses. Therefore, it is necessary to have a Policy regarding Occupational Safety and Health and the Environment which regulates the obligations and protection of assets consisting of employees, the surrounding community, production installations, work environment by Management and Employees which are stipulated by the Decree of the Board of Directors concerning Occupational Safety and Health Policy. and Environment at PT PLN Batubara. The Occupational Safety and Health and Environment Policy is a form of commitment and guidance of PT PLN Batubara which is guided by the Laws and Regulations and Company Provisions for workers, related management levels, and partners in the work environment of PT PLN Batubara to ensure, protect safety and health workforce through efforts to prevent work accidents, environmental pollution, and occupational diseases through controlling the work environment and implementing hygiene and sanitation in order to achieve the Company's vision and mission.
The guidance in question is the requirements for Occupational Safety and Health and the Environment in the form of provisions governing asset protection, management and workforce obligations, environmental management and monitoring, certainty of preparedness in an emergency situation, determination of accident categories, awarding, and imposition of sanctions. for those who violate so that in carrying out their work they always prioritize aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and the Environment.
Work programs that must be fulfilled by the Company in implementing K3L include:
1. Provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with the equipment needed and adapted to the provisions and conditions of the work environment.
2. Install signs/signs of HSE drawings in the workplace that are easily visible/readable.
3. Complete documents for prevention and/or mitigation of environmental hazards and impacts, in the form of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and/or work instructions (IK).
4. Provide guidance to workers and partners regarding the prevention of accidents and environmental pollution through education about K3L by holding periodical training.
5. Report any work accidents and environmental impacts in the workplace as well as negligence resulting in loss of operational (production) opportunities and pollution that has an impact on the environment to Management and/or appointed Officials in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
6. The company is required to provide identification and official attire for all employees, work clothes for employees working in the mining area and must be worn in accordance with applicable regulations.
7. Prevent and control the incidence of occupational diseases (PAK) in order to maintain and improve the health status of employees.
8. Establish, implement, evaluate, and develop an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) in a sustainable manne
